Vacation packages are offered for most vacation destinations and some seem great on the surface, as a tremendous discount is given for a set schedule of things to do. However, things that seem too good to be true are often so it’s important to know the pros and cons of these packages before purchasing them.

 

The pros of these vacation packages are obvious: you get a lot of vacation, a number of activities, a nice room, meals, a rental car perhaps, for a low price. The cons are all in the details however. You might be stuck with a specific sized room based on the package. You may also have to do your itinerary of activities whether you want to or not; or the activities might not be very good or well-managed. There may also be an aspect of sitting through a presentation about a time-share in the place you are visiting, which may not be worth the discount overall. Just look at the fine print before purchasing!
