At Wave Soul Retreats you will find yourself in the company of like-minded people who have come to us willing to learn this amazing sport from zero or even to take their surf level to the next step. If you are in the search of spending your next vacation on a sunning Caribbean Island with the purpose of focusing on yourself in a fun and relaxing atmosphere then this is it.

Surfing takes place at magical Encuentro Beach, a natural protected area surrounded by palm and almond trees - a real tropical corner of paradise. The reef ground and the shallow waters of the first 70m makes it perfect for beginners to practice being able to walk out before catching a wave and avoid getting you over tired. At the line up amazing waves are formed and there are different reef breaks for intermediate and advanced surfers with an average water temperature of 26ºC.
SURF LESSONS
All surf lessons include all surfing gear: surfboards, leash, wax, rash guard and water shoes. First you will have a theory lesson (20-30 min) on land where you will learn about the reef here in Encuentro Beach, rip currents, waves and wind conditions of Cabarete and how to stand properly on the board having the opportunity to practice on our simulators. After you will enter the water with your private certified instructor for one full hour. He will teach you how to choose the perfect wave, how to paddle correctly to catch it and when is the perfect time to stand up. The instructor will push you to your limits to make the most of your surf lesson. If you decide you would like to keep practicing on your own after your lesson you can use all surf boards and surf gear throughout the day.
BOARD RENTALS
Surf rentals include all surfing gear: surfboards, leash, wax, rash guard and water shoes. You will be able to choose between all of our boards and change it throughout the day. Each board rental is valid through 7am - 5pm.
