Las Americas Airport is the most common choice for travelers coming to the Dominican Republic. It's located next to Santo Domingo, the capital city. You'll often find more affordable flight options to SDQ. If you prefer a budget-friendly option, consider traveling by bus from Santo Domingo to Cabarete. To do this, make your way to the Caribe Tours main station in the city center, where you can purchase a bus ticket to Sosua for 550 DOP (10$). The bus ride to Sosua takes approximately 5 hours. Sosua is located just 10 km from Cabarete, and from there, you can use local, affordable buses called "guaguas" or moto-taxi. If you want to bypass these travel adventures, you can take a taxi, which will take you to Cabarete in about 4 hours, with a cost of around $200.
Punta Cana Airport (PUJ)
Distance to Cabarete: Approximately 320 km (around 6 hours by car)
Punta Cana Airport is the busiest in the Dominican Republic, situated near the touristic destination of Punta Cana. While this airport is farther from Cabarete, it may be a good option to rent a car, if you don't mind a 6 hour drive. You can also find buses traveling to Santo Domingo from Punta Cana, and from there, you can make your way north to Cabarete.
